About Us

The Pickens County Chamber of Commerce plays a leading role in the continued economic growth and community improvement of Pickens County. Through a wide variety of programs, virtually every business and individual in the county share in the benefits of the Chamber’s work. The Chamber is a non-profit membership association that is volunteer-driven, and by becoming a member, you can be directly involved in the Chamber’s work program. Pickens County Chamber of Commerce, Jasper, Georgia is home of the Annual Georgia Marble Festival. The festival will be on October 6^th & 7^th. This celebration begins with the Marble Festival Road Race on Saturday morning, followed by the Festival Parade at 10:30 am down Jasper’s Main Street.

After the parade, the activities begin at Lee Newton Park. Festival grounds open at 10:00 am. There are free shuttles and ample parking! Admission: Adults $4, Students $3, Children under 5 are free! Enjoy over 100 arts/crafts booths, a Fine Arts Exhibition, live music, clogging and dancing, business expo and a children’s area.

Take a guided tour of Polycor Georgia Marble Quarry & Plant and/or the Nelson Marble Museum and J. M. Huber Corporation (See our special promotion). This is the only time of year the quarries are open to the public! Learn about the multitude of uses for marble. The guided tours are $10 per person and include entrance to the Marble Festival. Reservations for the quarry tours are highly recommended, call (706) 692-5600. This is a pet-free festival however doggy day care is available on-site.
